The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute Fabian Ciociu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Corneliu Vulpăşin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mugur Siniştean kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. AFC PunisherS™'s Mădălin Barbonța got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sever Ţurcaş sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Florin Hrandabur in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Corneliu Vulpăşin saved Unicorns ™ from getting behind. 17 minutes into the match, Unicorns ™'s goal looked a bit too open when Isac Frunză came free, but Corneliu Vulpăşin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute, Calistrat Mihalcea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Costin Ignătoiu made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Tudor Bodea sent off a good shot on target. If Isac Frunză had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. Unicorns ™'s Corneliu Vulpăşin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isac Frunză in the 27th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Isac Frunză in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Corneliu Vulpăşin saved Unicorns ™ from getting behind. Aurel Huștiu hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. AFC PunisherS™'s Isac Frunză got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 53rd match minute, AFC PunisherS™ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gavril Chibulcutean to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Aurel Huștiu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Unicorns ™'s supporters rose to their feet, but Aurel Huștiu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Costin Ignătoiu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gavril Chibulcutean's late challenge caught a Unicorns ™'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gavril Chibulcutean helped the player get up and apologised. 62 minutes into the match, Unicorns ™'s goal looked a bit too open when Fabian Ciociu came free, but Corneliu Vulpăşin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Iustinian Petre kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Mădălin Barbonța could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Corneliu Vulpăşin made a huge save. Costin Ignătoiu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rareș Papadima, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. A collision led to AFC PunisherS™ getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Gavril Chibulcutean hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Isac Frunză got free with Corneliu Vulpăşin in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When AFC PunisherS™'s Mădălin Barbonța in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Unicorns ™'s goalie prevented a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Mădălin Barbonța managed to get in a good position for a shot. Corneliu Vulpăşin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 85 minutes into the match, Rareș Papadima notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of AFC PunisherS™'s Costin Ignătoiu. Costin Ignătoiu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. AFC PunisherS™'s Ciprian Groza was substituted for Fabian Ciociu. 89 minutes into the match, AFC PunisherS™'s Mădălin Barbonța sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Corneliu Vulpăşin narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
