After 5 minutes, Wesley Teles made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Várzea F.C.'s Serafim Mesquita tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 13 minutes, Fabinho Falcão mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the October 04 and the Várzea F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 13 played minutes October 04 got a freekick which was hit by Fabinho Falcão. Serafim Mesquita made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Claudinho Antunes sent off a good shot on target. Serafim Mesquita didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pedro Paulo Paes went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alessandro Mandrak in the 29th minute of play forced October 04's goalkeeper Diego de Toledo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Diego de Toledo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alessandro Mandrak, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Diego de Toledo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruninho Arósio in the 37th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alessandro Mandrak in the 41st minute of play forced October 04's goalkeeper Diego de Toledo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 42 minutes into the match, Jailson Koehler had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Diego de Toledo. October 04's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jailson Koehler was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Wesley Teles received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Serafim Mesquita came out and tried to block the shot, but Wesley Teles slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 47th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alessandro Mandrak was the one to do the kick off. Serafim Mesquita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Paulo Paes in the 55th minute of the match. César Siqueira kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Diego de Toledo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alessandro Mandrak in the 58th minute of play. The supporters of October 04 booed when Várzea F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jailson Koehler didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, October 04's Wesley Teles got a free kick in the 60th minute. After 63 minutes, Tião Amaral mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the October 04 and the Várzea F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tião Amaral hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Tião Amaral kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. In the 68th match minute, October 04 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruy Lira to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, October 04's Diego de Toledo got control of the ball when Jailson Koehler tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tião Amaral hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. A collision led to October 04 getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Ruy Lira hit a great ball. Serafim Mesquita didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wesley Teles went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. 78 minutes into the match, Pedro Paulo Paes notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Várzea F.C.'s Serafim Mesquita. Serafim Mesquita was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 82 played minutes Várzea F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Filipe Mendonça. 84 minutes into the match, October 04's goalkeeper Diego de Toledo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ramiro Rosado. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Duarte Barbosa during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 87th match minute, October 04 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Duarte Barbosa to maneuver through the defense. César Siqueira scored 5-2 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Diego de Toledo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 96th minute, Várzea F.C.'s Ramiro Rosado ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Diego de Toledo. Diego de Toledo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-3. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The October 04 fans cheered their team off the field, for while Várzea F.C. had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
