Serafim Mesquita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauro Guimarães in the 3rd minute of play. Adelino de Andrade took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alessandro Mandrak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adelino de Andrade showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Norberto de Brito in the 8th minute of the match. Alessandro Mandrak took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Adelino de Andrade. Adelino de Andrade dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Augusto Sá in the 14th minute of play forced Várzea F.C.'s goalkeeper Serafim Mesquita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nicolas Andrade scored 1-1 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Serafim Mesquita, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Serafim Mesquita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauro Guimarães in the 19th minute of play. After 21 played minutes BRASIL DE PELOTAS 4EVER got a freekick which was hit by Mauro Guimarães. After 22 played minutes, Várzea F.C.'s César Siqueira shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Adelino de Andrade came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Várzea F.C. reached it. Adelino de Andrade made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Jailson Koehler sent off a good shot on target. Mauro Guimarães took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Serafim Mesquita. Serafim Mesquita dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Serafim Mesquita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mauro Guimarães in the 34th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolas Andrade in the 37th minute of play forced Várzea F.C.'s goalkeeper Serafim Mesquita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Serafim Mesquita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauro Guimarães, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Murillo Recife charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Murillo Recife the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Carlos Alberto Pereira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Várzea F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Alberto Pereira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adelino de Andrade breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Ernani Rossi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adelino de Andrade having to interfere. 56 minutes into the game, Várzea F.C.'s Marco Seco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Adelino de Andrade made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauro Guimarães in the 59th minute of play forced Várzea F.C.'s goalkeeper Serafim Mesquita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 60 minutes into the match, Mauro Guimarães notched a goal, 3-3, to the right of Várzea F.C.'s Serafim Mesquita. Serafim Mesquita was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 68 played minutes BRASIL DE PELOTAS 4EVER got a freekick which was hit by Mauro Guimarães. Adelino de Andrade showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alessandro Mandrak, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. 71 minutes into the match, Jailson Koehler had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Adelino de Andrade. BRASIL DE PELOTAS 4EVER's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jailson Koehler was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-3. Várzea F.C. made a substitution. Ramiro Rosado replaced Alessandro Mandrak. After 81 minutes of play, BRASIL DE PELOTAS 4EVER's Luizinho Capixaba made it 4-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Serafim Mesquita was left in no man's land by his defense there! 84 minutes into the match, Jailson Koehler had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Adelino de Andrade. BRASIL DE PELOTAS 4EVER's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jailson Koehler was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-4. When Sydney Baptista fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BRASIL DE PELOTAS 4EVER's protests and gave Sydney Baptista a yellow card for diving instead. In the 93rd minute, one of BRASIL DE PELOTAS 4EVER:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for BRASIL DE PELOTAS 4EVER. 98 minutes into the game, Luizinho Capixaba was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. BRASIL DE PELOTAS 4EVER's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Várzea F.C. the free kick. Luizinho Capixaba kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match. 98 minutes into the match, Várzea F.C.'s Ramiro Rosado broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Várzea F.C. fully deserved thier win.
