Spectators: 38 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Alessandro Mandrak took the kick off in the first half of the match. 3 minutes into the match, Independente FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alessandro Mandrak came free, but Nestor Quintal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Várzea F.C.'s goalkeeper couldn't reach when Zé Carlos de Azevedo 4 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ezequiel Barral during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 9th match minute, Independente FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ezequiel Barral to maneuver through the defense. After 10 played minutes, Várzea F.C.'s César Siqueira shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nestor Quintal came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Várzea F.C. reached it. Serafim Mesquita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Vítor Rodrigues, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nestor Quintal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alessandro Mandrak, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Jailson Koehler kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. In the 16th minute, Carlos Lopes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Várzea F.C.'s Serafim Mesquita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ezequiel Barral in the 19th minute of play. A collision led to Várzea F.C. getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Bruninho Arósio hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Várzea F.C.'s zone, Zé Carlos de Azevedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Serafim Mesquita came out of the goal and Zé Carlos de Azevedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nestor Quintal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alessandro Mandrak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. César Siqueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 36 minutes, Albertinho Travassos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Várzea F.C. and the Independente FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nestor Quintal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alessandro Mandrak's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ezequiel Barral was the one to do the kick off. Nestor Quintal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alessandro Mandrak in the 55th minute of play. 56 minutes into the match, Independente FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alessandro Mandrak came free, but Nestor Quintal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlos Lopes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Serafim Mesquita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Alessandro Mandrak's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nestor Quintal was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. The attack was good, but when Alessandro Mandrak in the 60th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Nestor Quintal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alessandro Mandrak, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. In the 83rd minute, Albertinho Travassos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 85 played minutes Várzea F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Albertinho Travassos. The supporters of Várzea F.C. booed when Independente FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Lopes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 88th minute, Marco Mangueira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jailson Koehler could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Nestor Quintal made a huge save. For all the effort they put into the match, the Várzea F.C. players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Independente FC.
