Alessandro Mandrak showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Serafim Mesquita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vambola Probach, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Albertinho Travassos charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Albertinho Travassos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Serafim Mesquita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vambola Probach in the 21st minute of the match. Thibault Mamardashvili took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alessandro Mandrak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th match minute, JFSP was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgard de Godoi to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Várzea F.C. booed when JFSP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Paulo Peixoto didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alessandro Mandrak made a kick off. After a rather tough play, JFSP's Zé Paulo Saldanha got a free kick in the 51st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Jailson Koehler managed to get in a good position for a shot. Várzea F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Jailson Koehler was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thibault Mamardashvili breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Serafim Mesquita didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vambola Probach went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. Várzea F.C.'s Serafim Mesquita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vambola Probach in the 63rd minute of play. Serafim Mesquita didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for JFSP. Sílvio Luís Ceresso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serafim Mesquita having to interfere. When the match was over JFSP could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Várzea F.C. throughout the match.
