Olívio Arruda didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Júnior Camargo went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Olavo Fonseca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reginaldo Esteves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Olívio Arruda was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Júnior Camargo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 10 minute of play. Olívio Arruda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Júnior Camargo in the 13th minute of play. With splendid footwork Júnior Camargo arrived in front of goal to shoot 3-0 by the left pole in the game's 16th minute. Moisés Amaral kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. With a little luck, Los Bacanas FC's Olívio Arruda got control of the ball when Júnior Camargo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Célio Dionísio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Olavo Fonseca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 31st match minute, Vascogoianiense FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Waldir Faria to maneuver through the defense. After 33 played minutes Los Bacanas FC got a freekick which was hit by Humberto Pires. Júnior Camargo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 40thth minute tested the skills of Olívio Arruda when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 42 played minutes Los Bacanas FC got a freekick which was hit by Tostão Salles. Olívio Arruda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Júnior Camargo in the 45th minute of play. If Josué Pena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Júnior Camargo made the kick off in the second half. Anderson Valladares hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. In the 52nd match minute, Vascogoianiense FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Waldir Faria to maneuver through the defense. Olívio Arruda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Júnior Camargo, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. When Reginaldo Esteves fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Los Bacanas FC's protests and gave Reginaldo Esteves a yellow card for diving instead. In the 58th minute, Reginaldo Esteves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 63 played minutes Los Bacanas FC got a freekick which was hit by Humberto Pires. An unexpectedly hard shot by Júnior Camargo in the 66th minute of play forced Los Bacanas FC's goalkeeper Olívio Arruda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 68th minute, Afonso Rodrigues hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 71st minute, Júnior Camargo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vascogoianiense FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. 76 minutes into the match, Los Bacanas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Júnior Camargo came free, but Olívio Arruda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ademar Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olívio Arruda having to interfere. 80 minutes into the match, Anderson Valladares notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Los Bacanas FC's Olívio Arruda. Olívio Arruda was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 85th minute, Humberto Pires fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Olavo Fonseca, passed just outside the right post. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Humberto Pires managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Bacanas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Humberto Pires was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olavo Fonseca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Los Bacanas FC defense, Júnior Camargo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Olívio Arruda. The Los Bacanas FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Olívio Arruda should have stopped the shot. After 95 played minutes Los Bacanas FC got a freekick which was hit by Caco Vianna. Vascogoianiense FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
