With a left leg Geovanni Almeida saved Brasiliense FC from getting behind. 10 minutes into the match, Frank Sten had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Geovanni Almeida. Brasiliense FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Frank Sten was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Frank Sten in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Geovanni Almeida saved Brasiliense FC from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Frank Sten put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Geovanni Almeida. Geovanni Almeida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Sten, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Geovanni Almeida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Sten in the 24th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Frank Sten in the 31st managed to get into a good position. Geovanni Almeida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Sten, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. In the 37th minute Mané Garrincha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geovanni Almeida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Frank Sten took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Geovanni Almeida. Geovanni Almeida dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Cesinha Dias hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Agostinho Mendes's late challenge caught a Villaverde Celeste Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Agostinho Mendes helped the player get up and apologised. In the 42nd minute, Agostinho Mendes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Brasiliense FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Villaverde Celeste Clube were winning 0-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luís Fábio Goiano to make the kick off. Mané Garrincha who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 52ndth minute tested the skills of Geovanni Almeida when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Villaverde Celeste Clube's Mané Garrincha in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Brasiliense FC's goalie prevented a goal. Luís Fábio Goiano kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mané Garrincha in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Geovanni Almeida prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alfredo Linares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from César Coelho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 79 minutes into the game, Mané Garrincha cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Geovanni Almeida was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 86 minutes into the match, Brasiliense FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mané Garrincha came free, but Geovanni Almeida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jorge Cavalcante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Linares having to interfere. If Mané Garrincha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Villaverde Celeste Clube players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
