Brasiliense FC's Agostinho Mendes was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 46th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luís Fábio Goiano to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Tomás Mazza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jardim América FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomás Mazza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The tension between the Brasiliense FC and the Jardim América FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Brasiliense FC's Jorge Cavalcante got a free kick in the 65th minute. Jardim América FC's Nuno Neves managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Fabinho Toledo in the 68 minute of the game. Luís Fábio Goiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Perivaldo Torres having to interfere. After 82 played minutes Brasiliense FC got a freekick which was hit by Luís Fábio Goiano. Tomás Mazza kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Jorge Cavalcante struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Perivaldo Torres didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brasiliense FC. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luís Fábio Goiano in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Perivaldo Torres saved Jardim América FC from getting behind. 94 minutes into the match, Brasiliense FC's goalkeeper Geovanni Almeida had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomás Mazza. There was no doubt that Brasiliense FC were the better team. Brasiliense FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
