Dagoberto de Queirós came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Dragons EC's Telmo Abraão. But to his dismay, Telmo Abraão quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Zé Pedro Dionísio scored 2-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Renatinho Teixeira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sebastião Paulista during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sebastião Paulista kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. When Arnaldo Lago came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Castanheiro SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arnaldo Lago couldn't finish the play. Dagoberto de Queirós showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agostinho da Fonseca, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After 31 played minutes Dragons EC got a freekick which was hit by Marcus Gaúcho. Dagoberto de Queirós showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Márcio de Brito in the 34th minute of the match. In the 35th minute, Zé Pedro Dionísio made a precise shot to the right of Renatinho Teixeira. Dragons EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Renatinho Teixeira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guilherme Macedo in the 39th minute of the match. In the 40thth minute of the game Zé Pedro Dionísio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dragons EC's Renatinho Teixeira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Renatinho Teixeira made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Zé Pedro Dionísio sent off a good shot on target. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

When Castanheiro SC's Zé Pedro Dionísio in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Castanheiro SC's Dagoberto de Queirós proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Castanheiro SC from getting a goal against them. In the 68thth minute of the game Arnaldo Lago who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dragons EC's Renatinho Teixeira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Zé Pedro Dionísio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Renatinho Teixeira was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. In the 72nd match minute, Dragons EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Márcio de Brito to maneuver through the defense. 78 minutes into the match, Castanheiro SC's goal looked a bit too open when Agostinho da Fonseca came free, but Dagoberto de Queirós reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dagoberto de Queirós was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Telmo Abraão showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-2 in the 81 minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arnaldo Lago in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Renatinho Teixeira saved Dragons EC from getting behind. Dagoberto de Queirós made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcus Gaúcho in the 95th minute of play. The Castanheiro SC fans' excitement grew in the 97th match minute when Castanheiro SC's Zé Pedro Dionísio looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
