Telmo Madureira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcelo Eger went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Marcelo Eger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Telmo Madureira having to interfere. 16 minutes into the match, Mauro Sarmento dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Telmo Madureira, 2-0. Marcelo Eger took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Telmo Madureira. Telmo Madureira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Geovani Madureira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Telmo Madureira made a huge save. Marcelo Eger took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Telmo Madureira. Telmo Madureira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Júnior Alagoano took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Telmo Madureira. Telmo Madureira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Castanheiro SC's Mauro Sarmento got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 35th minute, Mauro Sarmento left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Castanheiro SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. In the 38th minute Júnior Alagoano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Telmo Madureira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Telmo Madureira made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Marcelo Eger sent off a good shot on target. After 41 minutes, Raphael de Salles mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the E.C 2 Janeiro RS and the Castanheiro SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 42nd minute, Raphael de Salles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Tostão Nunes fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored E.C 2 Janeiro RS's protests and gave Tostão Nunes a yellow card for diving instead. Tostão Nunes hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Telmo Madureira made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Marcelo Eger sent off a good shot on target. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 6-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Raphael de Salles made a kick off. In the 52ndth minute of the game Marcelo Eger who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but E.C 2 Janeiro RS's Telmo Madureira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Doni Seco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Raphael de Salles in the 55th minute. In the 59th minute Marcelo Eger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Telmo Madureira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Telmo Madureira came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Castanheiro SC's Mauro Sarmento. But to his dismay, Mauro Sarmento quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. In the 65th minute Marcelo Eger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Telmo Madureira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 66th match minute, E.C 2 Janeiro RS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raphael de Salles to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Castanheiro SC's Valério Maia got a free kick in the 67th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcelo Eger in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Telmo Madureira saved E.C 2 Janeiro RS from getting behind. After 75 minutes of play, Castanheiro SC's Júnior Alagoano made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Telmo Madureira was left in no man's land by his defense there! Telmo Madureira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelo Eger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Telmo Madureira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luisinho Seco's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. 84 minutes into the match, Castanheiro SC's Júnior Alagoano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Telmo Madureira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of E.C 2 Janeiro RS booed when Castanheiro SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mauro Sarmento didn't get a good kick on the ball. 87 minutes into the match, E.C 2 Janeiro RS's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelo Eger came free, but Telmo Madureira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 88 minutes, Raphael de Salles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. E.C 2 Janeiro RS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raphael de Salles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 93 minutes into the game, Tiaguinho Moura was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. E.C 2 Janeiro RS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Castanheiro SC the free kick. In the 93rd match minute, E.C 2 Janeiro RS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiaguinho Moura to maneuver through the defense.
