In the 6th match minute, Barrenta SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valdir Rosa to maneuver through the defense. After 9 minutes of play, Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's Adhemar Pinho made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Naldo Oliveira was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, André Vides managed to get in a good position for a shot. Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's supporters rose to their feet, but André Vides was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Naldo Oliveira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 14th minute Umberto Trigo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cacá Sousa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 16th match minute, Barrenta SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caio Quadros to maneuver through the defense. Naldo Oliveira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Vides, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Barrenta SC's Naldo Oliveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Perivaldo Figueiredo in the 26th minute of play. The supporters of Barrenta SC booed when Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Vítor Tasso didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 42 minutes, Perivaldo Figueiredo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Perivaldo Figueiredo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 45 minutes into the match, Barrenta SC's Murilo Mazza sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cacá Sousa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cacá Sousa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Umberto Trigo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The wind increased when Adhemar Pinho made the kick off in the second half. Naldo Oliveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adhemar Pinho in the 51st minute of play. Adhemar Pinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Naldo Oliveira having to interfere. The supporters of Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ booed when Barrenta SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michel Barral didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cacá Sousa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Murilo Mazza in the 59th minute. 61 minutes into the match, Barrenta SC's goal looked a bit too open when Adhemar Pinho came free, but Naldo Oliveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 65 minutes of play Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's João Vítor Tasso was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Barrenta SC booed when Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Vítor Tasso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Deivid Moreira took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Naldo Oliveira. Naldo Oliveira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Umberto Trigo in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cacá Sousa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 82 minutes, the score became 5-1 when Murilo Mazza sped through Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cacá Sousa. Murilo Mazza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Cacá Sousa made a huge save. After 89 played minutes Barrenta SC got a freekick which was hit by Elói de Medeiros. Perivaldo Figueiredo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Barrenta SC booed when Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgard Cearense didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee ended the match the Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
