The supporters of Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ booed when A.A. Francana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evandro Lago didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Adhemar Pinho kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Telmo Trigo. That made the score 1-0 in the 17 minute of play. In the 28th minute, Adhemar Pinho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Deivid Moreira's late challenge caught a A.A. Francana's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Deivid Moreira helped the player get up and apologised. The Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ fans' excitement grew in the 83rd match minute when Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's Adhemar Pinho looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Wilton Romero managed to get in a good position for a shot. A.A. Francana's supporters rose to their feet, but Wilton Romero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cacá Sousa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cacá Sousa was a little too slow when Armandinho Vergílio got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 94th minute. The score was now 5-1. For all the effort they put into the match, the A.A. Francana players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ.
