CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's Edvaldo de Sousa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramiro Duarte in the 38th minute of play. Leandro Barros made a great header on Classe A Futebol Clube's corner, it was just that CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's Edvaldo de Sousa managed to reach the ball for a save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Doriva Simão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osvaldo Soares in the 57th minute of the match. Ramiro Duarte could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Edvaldo de Sousa made a huge save. Edvaldo de Sousa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramiro Duarte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's zone, Váldson Mazza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edvaldo de Sousa came out of the goal and Váldson Mazza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Norberto Melo fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's protests and gave Norberto Melo a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Classe A Futebol Clube booed when CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Norberto Melo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edvaldo de Sousa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leandro Barros, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Ramiro Duarte 72 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-3. The CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edvaldo de Sousa should have stopped the shot. Horácio Paraibano hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Classe A Futebol Clube's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
