Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Barrenta SC the free kick. In the 3rd match minute, Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benedito Proença to maneuver through the defense. When the match clock showed 10 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Deivid Moreira sped through Barrenta SC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Naldo Oliveira. In the 14th minute Perivaldo Figueiredo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Naldo Oliveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Perivaldo Figueiredo's late challenge caught a Barrenta SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Perivaldo Figueiredo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 16th minute, Perivaldo Figueiredo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Deivid Moreira took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Naldo Oliveira. Naldo Oliveira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Naldo Oliveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Deivid Moreira in the 23rd minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Barrenta SC's goal looked a bit too open when Perivaldo Figueiredo came free, but Naldo Oliveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Umberto Trigo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Cacá Sousa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Deivid Moreira put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Naldo Oliveira. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Barrenta SC's goalkeeper Naldo Oliveira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's James Orange in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Barrenta SC's goalie prevented a goal. Barrenta SC's Naldo Oliveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Deivid Moreira in the 47th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Deivid Moreira in the 47th minute of play forced Barrenta SC's goalkeeper Naldo Oliveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Barrenta SC's Umberto Trigo got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 61 minutes into the match, Deivid Moreira notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Barrenta SC's Naldo Oliveira. Naldo Oliveira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Adhemar Pinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 70 minutes into the game, Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's Deivid Moreira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Naldo Oliveira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. Cacá Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elói de Medeiros in the 75th minute of play. Naldo Oliveira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Deivid Moreira went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-7 was the resulting score. Barrenta SC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 84th minute, when James Orange scored to the left of an out of position Naldo Oliveira, making the score, 0-8. After 88 minutes of play, Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's Adhemar Pinho made it 0-9 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Naldo Oliveira was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Barrenta SC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
