Doriva Simão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldo Antunes in the 15th minute of the match. With a little luck, CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's Gyula Grosics got control of the ball when Váldson Mazza tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Eugênio Peres fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Classe A Futebol Clube's protests and gave Eugênio Peres a yellow card for diving instead. In the 19th minute, Eugênio Peres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 22nd match minute, Classe A Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anísio Netto to maneuver through the defense. Davi Pena hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's Patrick Vergílio tried to score from far away in the 25th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After 48 played minutes Classe A Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Eugênio Peres.

The wind increased when Kléber Pernambucano made the kick off in the second half. Betinho Secco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Doriva Simão having to make a save.
