With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jacinto Zanette in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sílvio Luiz das Neves saved Litoral EC - CIMZ from getting behind. Sílvio Luiz das Neves was a little too slow when Jacinto Zanette got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 8th minute. The score was now 1-0. A collision led to Litoral EC - CIMZ getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Ronaldão Magalhães hit a great ball. Eriberto Cerezo kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adriano Matorin in the 18th minute of play forced Litoral EC - CIMZ's goalkeeper Sílvio Luiz das Neves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 21 minutes into the match, Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Eriberto Cerezo came free, but Augusto Camargo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st minute, Toninho Coutinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 24 minutes into the game, Litoral EC - CIMZ's Ricardinho Vander nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sílvio Luiz das Neves made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ivo Pernambucano in the 44th minute. After the first half Litoral EC - CIMZ were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jacinto Zanette stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sílvio Luiz das Neves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adriano Matorin in the 57th minute of the match. But to his dismay, Jacinto Zanette quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. 63 minutes into the game, Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Jacinto Zanette nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. When Ronaldão Magalhães fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Litoral EC - CIMZ's protests and gave Ronaldão Magalhães a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Rio Verde F.C CIMZ booed when Litoral EC - CIMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronaldão Magalhães didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sílvio Luiz das Neves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Júlio Negri, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Cleiton Cosme hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. In the 84th minute, Ronaldão Magalhães hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ulisses Munhoz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Augusto Camargo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Litoral EC - CIMZ's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
