Augusto Camargo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After 14 minutes, Jacinto Zanette mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rio Verde F.C CIMZ and the Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jacinto Zanette hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Augusto Camargo came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's Gugu Silva. But to his dismay, Gugu Silva quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Pedro Paulo Salles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Camargo having to interfere. After some careless play in the Rio Verde F.C CIMZ defense, Pedro Paulo Salles kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Augusto Camargo. The Rio Verde F.C CIMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Augusto Camargo should have stopped the shot. Pedro Paulo Salles's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Augusto Camargo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Jacinto Zanette got a free kick in the 31st minute. In the 33rd minute, Gugu Silva ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Augusto Camargo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. In the 37th minute, Pedro Paulo Salles made a precise shot to the right of Augusto Camargo. Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. Oséias Massa hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Júlio Negri got a free kick in the 41st minute. Paulo Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After the first half Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Giuseppe da Costa made a kick off. Thanks to some nice moves Gugu Silva could shoot a difficult shot in the 51st minute, which Augusto Camargo however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Conrado Britto in the 54th minute of play forced Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's goalkeeper Augusto Camargo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Oséias Massa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Oséias Massa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Heintje Taffarel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 58th minute of the match, Pedro Paulo Salles tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Augusto Camargo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 61 minutes into the match, Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's goalkeeper Augusto Camargo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gugu Silva. Augusto Camargo was a little too slow when Pedro Paulo Salles got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 63rd minute. The score was now 0-6. The supporters of Rio Verde F.C CIMZ booed when Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sydney Diniz didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Augusto Camargo got control of the ball when Conrado Britto tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Isaltino Barreto fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's protests and gave Isaltino Barreto a yellow card for diving instead. After 80 played minutes Rio Verde F.C CIMZ got a freekick which was hit by Isaltino Barreto. After 82 played minutes Rio Verde F.C CIMZ got a freekick which was hit by Hamílton Martins. The supporters of Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ booed when Rio Verde F.C CIMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Júlio Negri didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's zone, Paulo Brito stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Augusto Camargo came out of the goal and Paulo Brito tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 85 minutes into the match, Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Conrado Britto came free, but Augusto Camargo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 87th minute, Hamílton Martins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Augusto Camargo made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Gugu Silva sent off a good shot on target. Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Júlio Negri got his second yellow card of the match in the 89th minute. The referee ordered Júlio Negri off the ground. In a very dangerous position, a player in Rio Verde F.C CIMZ fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 89th minute. Penalty! A hard shot by Paulo Brito from long distance, 96 minutes into the match, got Augusto Camargo's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
