The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sabo D Agostino in the 3rd minute of play forced Granadero10's goalkeeper Sydney Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner led Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Sabo D Agostino to fire away a dangerous shot which Sydney Barros despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Paulo de Mendonça made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgílio Seco in the 7th minute of play. In the 7th minute, Júlio Negri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Zac Ba Loua came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Rio Verde F.C CIMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zac Ba Loua couldn't finish the play. Zac Ba Loua fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sydney Barros having to interfere. Paulo de Mendonça took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgílio Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th match minute, Rio Verde F.C CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zeca Garcia to maneuver through the defense. A nice corner shot did that Tostão Melo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Paulo de Mendonça quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Through an outstanding action, after 21 minutes, Paulo de Mendonça successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Perivaldo Pimenta's late challenge caught a Granadero10's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Perivaldo Pimenta helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Rio Verde F.C CIMZ getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Perivaldo Pimenta hit a great ball. 28 minutes into the match, Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's goalkeeper Paulo de Mendonça had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Virgílio Seco. Virgílio Seco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Granadero10's attack was well implemented in the 31st minute, but when Vinícius das Neves was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. After 36 played minutes Rio Verde F.C CIMZ got a freekick which was hit by Christoffer Kempel. Granadero10's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rio Verde F.C CIMZ the free kick. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The supporters of Granadero10 booed when Rio Verde F.C CIMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cesinha Mazza didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Rio Verde F.C CIMZ had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
