The supporters of Imbituba - FSCMZ booed when Agroboys SM - CIMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benê Britto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Willian da Costa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Acácio Ortiz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd minute, Válbson Rosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Willian da Costa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Acácio Ortiz in the 24th minute. Acácio Ortiz might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Willian da Costa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Acácio Ortiz ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Agroboys SM - CIMZ's Willian da Costa got control of the ball when Acácio Ortiz tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Acácio Ortiz took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Willian da Costa to make any attempt to save it. Agroboys SM - CIMZ's Pedrão Tepedino couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 40th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Imbituba - FSCMZ. 44 minutes into the match, Agroboys SM - CIMZ's goalkeeper Willian da Costa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Acácio Ortiz. After a defensive mix-up in Agroboys SM - CIMZ's zone, Acácio Ortiz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Willian da Costa came out of the goal and Acácio Ortiz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

A collision led to Agroboys SM - CIMZ getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Benê Britto hit a great ball. In the 56th minute, Franklin Tavares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Olívio Castro fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Imbituba - FSCMZ's protests and gave Olívio Castro a yellow card for diving instead. Olívio Castro hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Acácio Ortiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience was convinced that Acácio Ortiz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Willian da Costa was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. Acácio Ortiz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Willian da Costa having to make a save. Acácio Ortiz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 93rd match minute, Agroboys SM - CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giuseppe Machado to maneuver through the defense. Agroboys SM - CIMZ were furious when Nelsinho Schmidt was red carded, 96 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 96th minute, one of Agroboys SM - CIMZ:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Agroboys SM - CIMZ.
