Paulo de Mendonça made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Zac Ba Loua scored 1-2 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rodriguinho de Queirós, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zac Ba Loua couldn't finish the play. 47 minutes into the match, Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Acácio Ortiz came free, but Paulo de Mendonça reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Imbituba - FSCMZ were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Rodriguinho de Queirós showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christoffer Kempel in the 52nd minute of the match.
