Acácio Ortiz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Sydney Barros made a huge save. 7 minutes into the game, Acácio Ortiz recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sydney Barros. Acácio Ortiz showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Imbituba - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Rodriguinho de Queirós, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 12th minute Granadero10 were awarded a corner. Tostão Melo went to the cornerflag to take it. When Acácio Ortiz came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Imbituba - FSCMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Acácio Ortiz couldn't finish the play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 19th minute of the game. One of Granadero10:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Imbituba - FSCMZ:s goal. Sydney Barros had in the 20thth minute some difficulties stopping Diguinho Magalhães's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Acácio Ortiz scored 2-0 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sydney Barros, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 26th minute, Vinícius das Neves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Acácio Ortizs short, quick shot in the 28thth minute got Sydney Barros to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A collision led to Granadero10 getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Ernani Palmeira hit a great ball. In the 46th minute of the match Imbituba - FSCMZ got a corner. Granadero10's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Diguinho Magalhães ran over to the corner to take the kick. Imbituba - FSCMZ's Diguinho Magalhães was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Sydney Barros in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Imbituba - FSCMZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Granadero10 the free kick.
