Nechifor Oargă was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tiaguinho Cardoso scored 0-2 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nechifor Oargă, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 12 minutes, Willian de Salles mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Merusca F&P - CIMZ and the FC UNIREA Alba Iulia players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nechifor Oargă came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Merusca F&P - CIMZ's Tiaguinho Cardoso. But to his dismay, Tiaguinho Cardoso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Nechifor Oargă took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiaguinho Cardoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 20 minutes into the match, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goal looked a bit too open when Tiaguinho Cardoso came free, but Nechifor Oargă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Merusca F&P - CIMZ's goalkeeper Luiz Eduardo Faria had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Liviu Sbârcea. The audience was convinced that Tiaguinho Cardoso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nechifor Oargă was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Edgar Sfârlea hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Merusca F&P - CIMZ's zone, Gavril Niculiță stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luiz Eduardo Faria came out of the goal and Gavril Niculiță tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 32nd minute of the game. One of FC UNIREA Alba Iulia:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Merusca F&P - CIMZ:s goal. In the 33rd minute there was a penalty for Merusca F&P - CIMZ. Cristóvão Tepedino stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Nechifor Oargă. 0-4. 38 minutes into the match, Tiaguinho Cardoso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nechifor Oargă. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tiaguinho Cardoso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. After 43 minutes, Tiaguinho Cardoso made it 0-6 with a short kick to the right side. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Nechifor Oargă tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tiaguinho Cardoso was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of FC UNIREA Alba Iulia booed when Merusca F&P - CIMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clemente Souto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Horaţiu Hobjilă hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adelino Costa in the 57th minute of play forced FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goalkeeper Nechifor Oargă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maurício Antunes's late challenge caught a FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Maurício Antunes helped the player get up and apologised. In the 61st minute, Maurício Antunes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 66thth minute of the game Tiaguinho Cardoso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Nechifor Oargă was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Adelino Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 76th minute, Tiaguinho Cardoso reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Nechifor Oargă. The goal made the score 0-9. Nechifor Oargă was a little too slow when Tiaguinho Cardoso got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 79th minute. The score was now 0-10. Isaltino de Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Merusca F&P - CIMZ's Tiaguinho Cardoso got a free kick in the 95th minute. When the final whistle sounded Merusca F&P - CIMZ left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FC UNIREA Alba Iulia.
