Florin Ghiurutan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elói Nogueira in the 6th minute. 7 minutes into the match, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goal looked a bit too open when Giovanni Simões came free, but Florin Ghiurutan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Florin Ghiurutan managed to avoid a goal in the 13thth minute, when TROMBETA DO APOCALIPSE MG's Elói Nogueira fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 14th minute, Liviu Sbârcea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 21 played minutes FC UNIREA Alba Iulia got a freekick which was hit by Costin Dichiseanu. After some careless play in the FC UNIREA Alba Iulia defense, Elói Nogueira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Florin Ghiurutan. The FC UNIREA Alba Iulia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Florin Ghiurutan should have stopped the shot. In the 27th minute, Costin Dichiseanu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luisão Simões was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Elói Nogueira scored 3-1 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Florin Ghiurutan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 39th minute of the game, Júlio Batista landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. During the 40th minute of the match Costin Dichiseanu completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Costin Dichiseanu a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. TROMBETA DO APOCALIPSE MG's Ronaldinho da Silva was substituted for Júlio Batista. In the 41st minute, Costin Dichiseanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Elói Nogueira came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the TROMBETA DO APOCALIPSE MG fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elói Nogueira couldn't finish the play. When Gavril Niculiță fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's protests and gave Gavril Niculiță a yellow card for diving instead. After 44 played minutes FC UNIREA Alba Iulia got a freekick which was hit by Gavril Niculiță. 45 minutes into the match, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goal looked a bit too open when Vivaldo Pitta came free, but Florin Ghiurutan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elói Nogueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florin Ghiurutan having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elói Nogueira got free with Florin Ghiurutan in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Elói Nogueira to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vivaldo Pitta in the 53rd minute of play forced FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goalkeeper Florin Ghiurutan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Florin Ghiurutan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vivaldo Pitta in the 55th minute of play. In the 56th minute, Elói Nogueira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The TROMBETA DO APOCALIPSE MG fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. Florin Ghiurutan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vivaldo Pitta went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. 63 minutes into the match, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goal looked a bit too open when Bruno da Costa came free, but Florin Ghiurutan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 67th minute, Dudu Neļķis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Florin Ghiurutan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vivaldo Pitta in the 71st minute of the match. Florin Ghiurutan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elói Nogueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Florin Ghiurutan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elói Nogueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. 74 minutes into the match, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goal looked a bit too open when Elói Nogueira came free, but Florin Ghiurutan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Elói Nogueira in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Florin Ghiurutan saved FC UNIREA Alba Iulia from getting behind. Vivaldo Pitta took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Florin Ghiurutan. Florin Ghiurutan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-1. Florin Ghiurutan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dagoberto Teixeira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vivaldo Pitta struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Florin Ghiurutan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for TROMBETA DO APOCALIPSE MG. Florin Ghiurutan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elói Nogueira in the 88th minute of play. In the 89th minute, one of FC UNIREA Alba Iulia:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC UNIREA Alba Iulia. The referee gave TROMBETA DO APOCALIPSE MG a penalty, 91 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Dudu Neļķis, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Florin Ghiurutan. 9-1. Florin Ghiurutan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno da Costa in the 98th minute of play.
