The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of BMB IMOVEIS SC booed when Montevideo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Deivid Vinhas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anselmo Mineiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zé Carlos Tróia who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 9thth minute tested the skills of Claudinho Valladares when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Marco Furlan hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Anselmo Mineiro came free in the 18th minute and tried to tip the ball over Ruy Loureiro, but to the joy of Montevideo's supporters the ball went over. Zé Carlos Tróia might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Claudinho Valladares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zé Carlos Tróia ran back to his position shaking his head. BMB IMOVEIS SC's Moisés de Lara got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, BMB IMOVEIS SC's Claudinho Valladares got control of the ball when Zé Carlos Tróia tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zé Carlos Tróia got free with Claudinho Valladares in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zé Carlos Tróia was extremely unlucky when he, in the 38th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After 39 played minutes BMB IMOVEIS SC got a freekick which was hit by Agostinho Porto. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Zé Carlos Tróia made the kick off in the second half. When Leonardo Medeiros came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Montevideo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonardo Medeiros couldn't finish the play. Zé Carlos Tróia kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. The supporters of Montevideo booed when BMB IMOVEIS SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moisés de Lara didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Deivid Vinhas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claudinho Valladares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé Carlos Tróia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Claudinho Valladares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leonardo Medeiros went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. In the 78thth minute of the game Zé Carlos Tróia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BMB IMOVEIS SC's Claudinho Valladares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Moisés de Lara during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 79 played minutes BMB IMOVEIS SC got a freekick which was hit by Moisés de Lara. In the 80th minute, Zé Carlos Tróia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Claudinho Valladares was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. When Zé Carlos Tróia came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Montevideo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zé Carlos Tróia couldn't finish the play. In the 90th minute, Moisés de Lara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 93 minutes of play, Montevideo's Leonardo Medeiros made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Claudinho Valladares was left in no man's land by his defense there! 96 minutes into the match, Montevideo's goal looked a bit too open when Moisés de Lara came free, but Ruy Loureiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Montevideo fully deserved thier win.
