The supporters of FC UNIREA Alba Iulia booed when Merusca F&P - CIMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Merusca F&P - CIMZ's Clemente Souto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robert Uncheşu in the 14th minute of play. After 18 minutes, Gavril Niculiță mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC UNIREA Alba Iulia and the Merusca F&P - CIMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Merusca F&P - CIMZ booed when FC UNIREA Alba Iulia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gavril Niculiță didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Robert Uncheşu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. Florin Ghiurutan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmílson Vidal, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Gavril Niculiță got his second yellow card in the match during the 31st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 32nd match minute, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gavril Niculiță to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Natã Rosa in the 37th minute of play forced FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goalkeeper Florin Ghiurutan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Tiaguinho Cardoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Liviu Sbârcea got a free kick in the 45th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Natã Rosa to make the kick off. But to his dismay, Adelino Costa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Isaltino de Azevedo hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. When Adelino Costa fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Merusca F&P - CIMZ's protests and gave Adelino Costa a yellow card for diving instead. In the 69th match minute, Merusca F&P - CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adelino Costa to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of FC UNIREA Alba Iulia booed when Merusca F&P - CIMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adelino Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 75th minute, Horaţiu Hobjilă hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abel Britto charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Abel Britto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Robert Uncheşu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Florin Ghiurutan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmílson Vidal in the 86th minute of play. Florin Ghiurutan came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Merusca F&P - CIMZ's Natã Rosa. But to his dismay, Natã Rosa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. 93 minutes into the match, Edmílson Vidal notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Florin Ghiurutan. Florin Ghiurutan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Merusca F&P - CIMZ walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
