If Tadeu Correia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tião Valladares hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. The supporters of Montevideo booed when Fabiofs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Washington Baptista didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Montevideo's Delfim Peixoto got a free kick in the 28th minute. Montevideo's Ruy Loureiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abelardo Bastos in the 30th minute of play. Ruy Loureiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erik Dante in the 34th minute of play. Leonardo Medeiros took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised João Pedro Martins. João Pedro Martins dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Leonardo Medeiros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

Tião Valladares kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Tadeu Correia put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of João Pedro Martins. Leonardo Medeiros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Fabiofs fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that João Pedro Martins should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Fabiofs's Erik Dante got a free kick in the 78th minute. Montevideo's Tadeu Correia got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 83 minutes into the match, Erik Dante had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ruy Loureiro. Montevideo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Erik Dante was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. Erik Dante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruy Loureiro having to interfere. João Pedro Martins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonardo Medeiros in the 93rd minute of play. João Pedro Martins was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tadeu Correia showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-5 in the 94 minute of play.
