Murilo Paiva was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Murilo Paiva stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tudor Bărbânță's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. The audience was convinced that Tudor Bărbânță's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Murilo Paiva was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. A collision led to Curiphila Eagles getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Reinaldo Cearense hit a great ball. In the 34th minute, Emanuel Finteșteanu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC UNIREA Alba Iulia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. A collision led to Curiphila Eagles getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Percy Borges hit a great ball. 40 minutes into the game, José Pedro Seco recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Iulian Bucurescu. José Pedro Seco showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. 44 minutes into the match, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goal looked a bit too open when Patrick Linares came free, but Iulian Bucurescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Donato Prestes to make the kick off. Tudor Bărbânță scored 1-4 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Murilo Paiva, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Iulian Bucurescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrick Linares in the 56th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Gigi Câmpeanu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Murilo Paiva. That made the score 1-5 after 61 minutes of play. Iulian Bucurescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Naldo Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 66th match minute, Curiphila Eagles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Percy Borges to maneuver through the defense. Curiphila Eagles's José Pedro Seco got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 78th minute, Mihai Odobescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 79 minutes into the game, Felix Chirtoacă was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Curiphila Eagles the free kick. The referee gave Curiphila Eagles a penalty, 80 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Dieguinho Lira, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Iulian Bucurescu. 2-5. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Donato Prestes during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
