One of Curiphila Eagles:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Fabiofs:s goal. Curiphila Eagles:s Murilo Paiva showed great skill when he stopped Tião Valladares:s penalty. 9 minutes into the match, Tião Valladares notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Curiphila Eagles's Murilo Paiva. Murilo Paiva was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Fabiofs's defense didn't have a chance, in the 13th minute, when José Pedro Seco scored to the left of an out of position João Pedro Martins, making the score, 1-1. In the 18th minute, Donato Prestes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Curiphila Eagles fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Kiko Mattos kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Donato Prestes to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Curiphila Eagles's Kiko Mattos got a free kick in the 51st minute. João Pedro Martins dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-2. Washington Baptista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Murilo Paiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When José Pedro Seco fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Curiphila Eagles's protests and gave José Pedro Seco a yellow card for diving instead. After 90 played minutes Curiphila Eagles got a freekick which was hit by José Pedro Seco. Elano Velloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Murilo Paiva having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Curiphila Eagles had played much better football throughout.
