In the 19th minute of the match FC UNIREA Alba Iulia got a corner. BMB IMOVEIS SC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mihai Odobescu ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of BMB IMOVEIS SC's goalie and right to Emanuel Finteșteanu. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. BMB IMOVEIS SC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Severino Campidelis struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Iulian Bucurescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BMB IMOVEIS SC. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tudor Bărbânță to make the kick off. Claudinho Valladares yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. Claudinho Valladares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tudor Bărbânță's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. When Yuri Cunha fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Moisés de Lara blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Iulian Bucurescu having to make a save.
