If Guga Freire had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benedito Nóbrega took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hélder dos Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ismael Mattos scored 2-0 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benedito Nóbrega, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Luciano do Nascimento fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Galo do Japi's protests and gave Luciano do Nascimento a yellow card for diving instead. In the 14th match minute, Galo do Japi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luciano do Nascimento to maneuver through the defense. In the 17th match minute, LauerArmy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ismael Mattos to maneuver through the defense. Benedito Nóbrega made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paulo Jardel in the 19th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aloísio Santana during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Benedito Nóbrega was out of position in the 24 minute of play, and Hélder dos Santos capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Hélder dos Santos really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. Falcão Cabral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Madureira, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. 32 minutes in the game, Luís Madureira dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. After 38 minutes, Kléber Koehler mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Galo do Japi and the LauerArmy players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 39th minute, Kléber Koehler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benedito Nóbrega made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hélder dos Santos in the 40th minute of play. Waldemar Brodel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benedito Nóbrega having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hélder dos Santos to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Galo do Japi's Ademir Carvalho got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Paulo Jardel's late challenge caught a Galo do Japi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paulo Jardel helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to LauerArmy getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Paulo Jardel hit a great ball. In the 57th minute, Romeu Prado made a precise shot to the right of Benedito Nóbrega. Galo do Japi's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. The supporters of Galo do Japi booed when LauerArmy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giuseppe Mazza didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Tomé Gerber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kléber Koehler hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Geovanni Zonta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 65th minute, Paulo Jardel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Galo do Japi's Aloísio Santana shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 66th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Falcão Cabral but with some difficulty. After 67 played minutes LauerArmy got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Jardel. Falcão Cabral was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Aloísio Santana. The supporters of LauerArmy booed when Galo do Japi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaltino de Mendonça didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benedito Nóbrega made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ismael Mattos in the 75th minute of play. In the 80thth minute of the game Guga Freire who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Galo do Japi's Benedito Nóbrega was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 84 minutes into the match, Galo do Japi's goal looked a bit too open when Waldemar Brodel came free, but Benedito Nóbrega reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benedito Nóbrega showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romeu Prado in the 90th minute of the match. 93 minutes into the match, Galo do Japi's goal looked a bit too open when Guga Freire came free, but Benedito Nóbrega reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. LauerArmy walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
