But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dráuzio Paraíba couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filipe Meneses in the 43rd minute of play forced Mosqueteiros 4EVER's goalkeeper Samuca da Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd minute Filipe Meneses shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuca da Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner led 100 Chance's Luís Fábio Andrade to fire away a dangerous shot which Samuca da Costa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Mosqueteiros 4EVER's Samuca da Costa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Mosqueteiros 4EVER from getting a goal against them. Luís Fábio Machado's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Samuca da Costa firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 96th minute, Ulysses Mota hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 100 Chance's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
