After 30 minutes of play, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Dalmo Rocha made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Simão Soares was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Nova Iguaçu MZFC fans' excitement grew in the 33rd match minute when Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Paulo Renato Souza looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 37thth minute of the game Anselmo Batista who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Qjos MiLLano's Simão Soares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Simão Soares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Renato Souza in the 42nd minute of the match. In the 43rd minute Nova Iguaçu MZFC were awarded a corner. Dudu Queiroz went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Vladimir Braga managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Simão Soares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anselmo Batista, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Simão Soares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luizinho Neves in the 47th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Clóvis Quirino was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the game, Rubinho Araújo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Qjos MiLLano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nova Iguaçu MZFC the free kick. Rubinho Araújo hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Cesinha Cruz replaced Vladimir Braga. Dalmo Rocha kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Simão Soares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dalmo Rocha in the 63rd minute of the match. 65 minutes into the match, Paulo Renato Souza had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Simão Soares. Qjos MiLLano's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paulo Renato Souza was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. After a rather tough play, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Luizinho Neves got a free kick in the 68th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Qjos MiLLano's zone, Zé Carlos Cordeiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Simão Soares came out of the goal and Zé Carlos Cordeiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Simão Soares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paulo Renato Souza in the 74th minute. Simão Soares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dalmo Rocha, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dalmo Rocha in the 78th minute of play forced Qjos MiLLano's goalkeeper Simão Soares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 80 played minutes Nova Iguaçu MZFC got a freekick which was hit by Deivid Queirós. Dalmo Rocha scored 1-5 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Simão Soares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 85th match minute, Qjos MiLLano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Guilherme Quirino to maneuver through the defense. 86 minutes into the game, Paulo Renato Souza cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-6. Simão Soares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 90 minutes of play Qjos MiLLano's André Munhoz was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Qjos MiLLano's André Munhoz got a free kick in the 90th minute. With a little luck, Qjos MiLLano's Simão Soares got control of the ball when Wilson Vidal tried to sneak it across the goal line. Paulo Renato Souza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Simão Soares made a huge save. Zé Carlos Cordeiro hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. The Qjos MiLLano fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Nova Iguaçu MZFC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
