After 14 played minutes Atlético Nacional got a freekick which was hit by Nemesio Damario. The audience was convinced that Alessandro Del Piero's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Teodoro Peio was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. When the match clock showed 16 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Alessandro Del Piero sped through Atlético Nacional's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Teodoro Peio. After 18 minutes, Alessandro Del Piero made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Atlético Nacional's Teodoro Peio tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, JUVENTUS BIANCONERI FC's Mino Domene got control of the ball when Carlos Alberto Azevedo tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Alberto Azevedo in the 29th minute of play forced JUVENTUS BIANCONERI FC's goalkeeper Mino Domene to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mino Domene showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alonzo Rocendo in the 33rd minute of the match. 35 minutes into the match, JUVENTUS BIANCONERI FC's goalkeeper Mino Domene had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carlos Alberto Azevedo. Mino Domene made an important save on a dangerous shot by Primitivo Mendez in the 39th minute. With a little luck, JUVENTUS BIANCONERI FC's Mino Domene got control of the ball when Primitivo Mendez tried to sneak it across the goal line. 45 minutes into the game, Carlos Alberto Azevedo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mino Domene. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alessandro Del Piero made a kick off. Teodoro Peio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alessandro Del Piero in the 53rd minute of the match. Atlético Nacional's Teodoro Peio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dan Van Caels in the 56th minute of play. Teodoro Peio made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Dan Van Caels sent off a good shot on target. JUVENTUS BIANCONERI FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cristiano Ubriaco in the 60th minute. Cristiano Ubriaco made a great header on JUVENTUS BIANCONERI FC's corner, it was just that Atlético Nacional's Teodoro Peio managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 62nd minute of the match, Dan Van Caels got a very nice opportunity to score, but Teodoro Peio was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Gombal Lidon kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Teodoro Peio. That made the score 1-3 in the 63 minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Anier Mel in the 80th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by JUVENTUS BIANCONERI FC's Tono Baizan. If Alessandro Del Piero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th minute Alessandro Del Piero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodoro Peio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Alberto Azevedo made in the 91st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by JUVENTUS BIANCONERI FC's Angel Angosto. The supporters of Atlético Nacional booed when JUVENTUS BIANCONERI FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alessandro Del Piero didn't get a good kick on the ball. JUVENTUS BIANCONERI FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
