An unexpectedly hard shot by Ştefan Vornicescu in the 4th minute of play forced AFC United's goalkeeper Lei Bin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 5 played minutes Bruno Fonso rounded AFC United's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. AFC United's Zeng Sang Chao managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Vebjørn Waaler in the 13 minute of the game. The throw-in from Tomás Orlanda in the 17th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by AFC United's Zeng Sang Chao. After 17 played minutes Club Ibiza got a freekick which was hit by Cacey 武磊. In the 21st minute, Bruno Fonso reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Lei Bin. The goal made the score 2-0. In the 26th minute, Andries De Putter made a precise shot to the right of Mero Portero. Club Ibiza's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Mero Portero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Faustino Asprilla in the 30th minute of the match. AFC United's Lei Bin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruno Fonso in the 33rd minute of play. In the 34th minute Andries De Putter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mero Portero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mero Portero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Faustino Asprilla in the 37th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bruno Fonso in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lei Bin saved AFC United from getting behind. Lei Bin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruno Fonso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. AFC United's Lei Bin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruno Fonso in the 45th minute of play. In the 46th minute Bruno Fonso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lei Bin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When Club Ibiza's Bruno Fonso, in the 55th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Club Ibiza. A throw-in in the 68th minute of the game was made by Tomás Orlanda with Kazuo Koriotto as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 69 minutes into the match, Kazuo Koriotto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lei Bin. AFC United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kazuo Koriotto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Andries De Putter took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mero Portero. Mero Portero dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Faustino Asprilla in the 78th minute of play forced Club Ibiza's goalkeeper Mero Portero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 78th minute of the match, Faustino Asprilla tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Mero Portero saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Mero Portero made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Andries De Putter sent off a good shot on target. 84 minutes into the match, Club Ibiza's goalkeeper Mero Portero had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andries De Putter. 85 minutes into the game, Şenel Volkan threw the ball into play from the sideline. Club Ibiza's Tomás Orlanda quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The audience was convinced that Faustino Asprilla's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mero Portero was relentless in the 96th minute of the game.
