Eugenio Manfredi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wilson Arósio in the 5th minute. With a little luck, Lunatics of Arianrhod's Eugenio Manfredi got control of the ball when Wilson Arósio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eugenio Manfredi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orçun Yalınalp in the 8th minute of play. If Wilson Arósio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 12 minutes into the match, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Hibai came free, but Baldomiro Txindoki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Baldomiro Txindoki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Hibai in the 13th minute of the match. Wilson Arósio's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Eugenio Manfredi firmly grabbed it by the left post. A collision led to FC UNIREA Alba Iulia getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Gigel Horhoianu hit a great ball. Orçun Yalınalp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugenio Manfredi having to interfere. With a little luck, Lunatics of Arianrhod's Eugenio Manfredi got control of the ball when Petrică Cândreanu tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 25th minute Ernesto Martini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baldomiro Txindoki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eugenio Manfredi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petrică Cândreanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eugenio Manfredi was a little too slow when Petrică Cândreanu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 27th minute. The score was now 1-0. Eugenio Manfredi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Iulian Pietreanu's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Flavio Morelli hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. The supporters of FC UNIREA Alba Iulia booed when Lunatics of Arianrhod was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baldomiro Txindoki came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Lunatics of Arianrhod's Joel Hibai. But to his dismay, Joel Hibai quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The crowd rose to their feet as FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Orçun Yalınalp slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Eugenio Manfredi. That made the score 2-1 after 47 minutes of play. Lunatics of Arianrhod's Francesco Romino was substituted for Walter Giusti. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joel Hibai made a kick off. Baldomiro Txindoki made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Joel Hibai sent off a good shot on target. Joel Hibai in the 55thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Baldomiro Txindoki, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The crowd rose to their feet as Lunatics of Arianrhod's Joel Hibai slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Baldomiro Txindoki. That made the score 2-2 after 59 minutes of play. Baldomiro Txindoki made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Ernesto Martini sent off a good shot on target. If Ernesto Martini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 68th minute Wilson Arósio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugenio Manfredi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Baldomiro Txindoki made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joel Hibai in the 70th minute. After 74 played minutes FC UNIREA Alba Iulia got a freekick which was hit by Petrică Cândreanu. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Baldomiro Txindoki proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save FC UNIREA Alba Iulia from getting a goal against them. After 76 minutes FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Hibai who took care of the corner kick. The Lunatics of Arianrhod fans' excitement grew in the 81st match minute when Lunatics of Arianrhod's Joel Hibai looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Baldomiro Txindoki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Hibai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 94thth minute of the game Francesco Romino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Baldomiro Txindoki was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lunatics of Arianrhod were awarded a corner in the 95th minute after FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Hibai took the corner. Francesco Romino was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 97th minute Iulian Pietreanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugenio Manfredi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joel Hibai who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 99thth minute tested the skills of Baldomiro Txindoki when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Eugenio Manfredi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iulian Pietreanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 100th minute.
