The referee ignored FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's protests and gave Wilson Arósio a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Wilson Arósio got a free kick in the 16th minute. 22 minutes into the match, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goalkeeper Baldomiro Txindoki had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joel Hibai. A collision led to FC UNIREA Alba Iulia getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Iulian Pietreanu hit a great ball. In the 33rd match minute, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nils-Emil Hansson to maneuver through the defense. In the 33rd minute of the match, Ernesto Martini tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Baldomiro Txindoki saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Lunatics of Arianrhod's Eugenio Manfredi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Lunatics of Arianrhod from getting a goal against them. Eugenio Manfredi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wilson Arósio in the 52nd minute. Eugenio Manfredi made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Petrică Cândreanu sent off a good shot on target. Iulian Pietreanu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Eugenio Manfredi made a huge save. Nils-Emil Hansson kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. The supporters of FC UNIREA Alba Iulia booed when Lunatics of Arianrhod was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel Hibai blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Baldomiro Txindoki having to make a save. Eugenio Manfredi was out of position in the 94 minute of play, and Iulian Pietreanu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Iulian Pietreanu really showed his touch with that goal: 2-4. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia played a much better game than Lunatics of Arianrhod and deserved their victory. The Lunatics of Arianrhod players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
