With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nacho González prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nacho González made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Cristo Basajaun sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Cristo Basajaun's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nacho González was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Astillero del Guayas may have spent more time on the ball, but C.A.Independiente were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
