If Dacian Zburliş had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. ATHLETICO PRaiano's attentive Gaétan Govou managed to snatch the ball when Cafu Dolar made a throw-in in the 30th minute of the game. Lütfü Öktemer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vilhelm Skoog, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Deilmison van Basten to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Darío Benedetto in the 61st minute of play forced ATHLETICO PRaiano's goalkeeper Rodriguinho Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denílson Magalhães in the 63rd minute of play forced MARAZZINO's goalkeeper Lütfü Öktemer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rodriguinho Sousa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Darío Benedetto, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Rodriguinho Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mustafa Anıl Öveç in the 84th minute of the match. Rodriguinho Sousa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Claudiu Răducanu in the 90th minute. In the 95th match minute, ATHLETICO PRaiano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simão do Vale to maneuver through the defense. There was no doubt that ATHLETICO PRaiano were the better team. ATHLETICO PRaiano's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
