Angel Xabel made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Guido Vissenaeken sent off a good shot on target. Guido Vissenaeken could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Angel Xabel made a huge save. Angel Xabel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guido Vissenaeken in the 14th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Brugge United's Guido Vissenaeken slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Angel Xabel. That made the score 1-0 after 15 minutes of play. In the 19th minute, Brugge United's Guido Vissenaeken ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Angel Xabel. Angel Xabel yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Angel Xabel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guido Vissenaeken, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. 25 minutes into the match, Guido Vissenaeken notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of POSSE 1911 FC's Angel Xabel. Angel Xabel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 29thth minute of the game Guido Vissenaeken who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but POSSE 1911 FC's Angel Xabel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guido Vissenaeken got free with Angel Xabel in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Guido Vissenaeken could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Angel Xabel made a huge save. POSSE 1911 FC's Angel Xabel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guido Vissenaeken in the 37th minute of play. Angel Xabel was out of position in the 40 minute of play, and Guido Vissenaeken capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Guido Vissenaeken really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sérgio Aguero in the 44th minute of play forced Brugge United's goalkeeper Vítor Baia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th minute of the match POSSE 1911 FC got a corner. Brugge United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alfredo Di Marco ran over to the corner to take the kick. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sérgio Aguero to strike the kick off in the second half. Guido Vissenaeken might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Angel Xabel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Guido Vissenaeken ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 52nd minute Guido Vissenaeken shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angel Xabel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brugge United's Dacian Hrean quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Nicasio Amor, made in the 55th minute of the game. Guido Vissenaeken took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Angel Xabel. Angel Xabel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. 62 minutes into the match, Guido Vissenaeken notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of POSSE 1911 FC's Angel Xabel. Angel Xabel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 66th minute, Guido Vissenaeken made a precise shot to the right of Angel Xabel. POSSE 1911 FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. Vítor Baia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sérgio Aguero in the 68th minute of play. Vítor Baia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Di Marco in the 71st minute of the match. Brugge United's Vítor Baia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Brugge United from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Guido Vissenaeken in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Angel Xabel saved POSSE 1911 FC from getting behind. Angel Xabel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Guido Vissenaeken went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. Guido Vissenaeken blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Angel Xabel having to make a save. 81 minutes into the match, POSSE 1911 FC's goal looked a bit too open when Laurențiu Roşculeţ came free, but Angel Xabel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 85 minutes into the match, Brugge United's goalkeeper Vítor Baia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lukas Lundgren. Angel Xabel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guido Vissenaeken, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Di Marco in the 92nd minute of play forced Brugge United's goalkeeper Vítor Baia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vítor Baia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sérgio Aguero, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Brugge United were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of POSSE 1911 FC for a fine match.
