Hugo Orlando Gatti didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Purple Talents. 박 서문 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cecilio Tristan, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Loukas Laboglou hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Purple Talents's attentive Loukas Laboglou managed to snatch the ball when Lance Veloz made a throw-in in the 8th minute of the game. Purple Talents's 박 서문 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cecilio Tristan in the 11th minute of play. Abuba Akotonon FC's Hugo Orlando Gatti proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Abuba Akotonon FC from getting a goal against them. Hugo Orlando Gatti stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Victorino Lazcano's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. When the match clock showed 17 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Victorino Lazcano sped through Abuba Akotonon FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Hugo Orlando Gatti. If Victorino Lazcano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Hugo Orlando Gatti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victorino Lazcano in the 20th minute of the match. After having played for 24 minutes, Genaro Elivareo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Abuba Akotonon FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Genaro Elivareo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Purple Talents's Loukas Laboglou quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Lance Veloz, made in the 29th minute of the game. Hugo Orlando Gatti stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Victorino Lazcano's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. 32 minutes had been played when some careless play by Abuba Akotonon FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Christoffer Lingren was slow to take the kick. During this time Purple Talents's players had a chance to rest. Danush Tavakoli could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Hugo Orlando Gatti made a huge save. In the 39th minute Cecilio Tristan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 박 서문 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 41 minutes in the game Ariel Artaldo did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Vânderson Barbosa. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Victorino Lazcano to strike the kick off in the second half. 박 서문 didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cecilio Tristan went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Cecilio Tristan might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over 박 서문. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cecilio Tristan ran back to his position shaking his head. Purple Talents's Christoffer Lingren was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Hugo Orlando Gatti in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Hugo Orlando Gatti came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Purple Talents's Victorino Lazcano. But to his dismay, Victorino Lazcano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. The supporters of Purple Talents booed when Abuba Akotonon FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cecilio Tristan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Purple Talents made a substitution. Hannes De Vorster replaced Hendrik-Jan Huysmans. Abuba Akotonon FC made a substitution. Ernesto Oxarra replaced Ramiro Rey. After 77 played minutes Abuba Akotonon FC got a freekick which was hit by Cecilio Tristan. In the 80th minute, Gustav Mattheijs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 83 minutes into the match, Purple Talents's goal looked a bit too open when Vânderson Barbosa came free, but 박 서문 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Purple Talents's Christoffer Lingren managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by J.J Okocha in the 87 minute of the game. Leo De Hond blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hugo Orlando Gatti having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richy Van Boeckost in the 94th minute of play forced Abuba Akotonon FC's goalkeeper Hugo Orlando Gatti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
