Through an outstanding action, after 3 minutes, Hugo Orlando Gatti successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Cecilio Tristan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Filipe Meireles having to make a save. Filipe Meireles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cecilio Tristan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, KOLEJORZ POZNAŃ's Agustin Lain got a free kick in the 21st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cecilio Tristan in the 22nd minute of play forced KOLEJORZ POZNAŃ's goalkeeper Filipe Meireles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paolo Cucao in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hugo Orlando Gatti saved Abuba Akotonon FC from getting behind. After 26 played minutes Abuba Akotonon FC got a freekick which was hit by Cecilio Tristan. In the 30th minute, Paolo Cucao ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hugo Orlando Gatti was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After a rather tough play, KOLEJORZ POZNAŃ's Panda Komando got a free kick in the 41st minute. Hugo Orlando Gatti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paolo Cucao, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind KOLEJORZ POZNAŃ's goalkeeper Filipe Meireles, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Genaro Elivareo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 58th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Filipe Meireles. KOLEJORZ POZNAŃ's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Agustin Lain charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Agustin Lain the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Abuba Akotonon FC booed when KOLEJORZ POZNAŃ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agustin Lain didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 61st minute Paolo Cucao shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Orlando Gatti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 67th match minute, Abuba Akotonon FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lance Veloz to maneuver through the defense. In a very dangerous position, a player in Abuba Akotonon FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 68th minute. Penalty! Agustin Lain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Abuba Akotonon FC's Ernesto Oxarra was substituted for Ramiro Rey. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Czeslaw Patora managed to get in a good position for a shot. KOLEJORZ POZNAŃ's supporters rose to their feet, but Czeslaw Patora was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hugo Orlando Gatti breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vânderson Barbosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. KOLEJORZ POZNAŃ's Filipe Meireles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vânderson Barbosa in the 84th minute of play. Juliusz Kowalski hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. 90 minutes into the game, Cecilio Tristan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Filipe Meireles was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 93rd minute Paolo Cucao shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Orlando Gatti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 95th minute of the match KOLEJORZ POZNAŃ got a corner. Abuba Akotonon FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lech Frankowski ran over to the corner to take the kick. When the referee blew the final whistle, KOLEJORZ POZNAŃ could leave the field as winners, despite Abuba Akotonon FC having more of the ball for most of the match.
