The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Igor Lebas scored 0-1 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Filipe Meireles, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Filipe Meireles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Igor Lebas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 9th match minute, KaoS Futbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Noel Hargrave to maneuver through the defense. Pierluigi Buffon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paolo Cucao in the 13th minute. After a rather tough play, KaoS Futbol Club's Noel Hargrave got a free kick in the 14th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paolo Cucao in the 16th minute of play forced KaoS Futbol Club's goalkeeper Pierluigi Buffon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Paolo Cucao had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Pierluigi Buffon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paolo Cucao in the 21st minute of play. Pierluigi Buffon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paolo Cucao's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. KaoS Futbol Club's defense didn't have a chance, in the 33rd minute, when Paolo Cucao scored to the left of an out of position Pierluigi Buffon, making the score, 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Paolo Cucao in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pierluigi Buffon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of KOLEJORZ POZNAŃ booed when KaoS Futbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anthony De Francesco didn't get a good kick on the ball. It was beautiful to see KaoS Futbol Club's Narciso Noe in action when he in the 47th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Paolo Cucao stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Aleksander Kalinowski hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. After 54 played minutes KaoS Futbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Anthony De Francesco. Anthony De Francesco made in the 68th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by KOLEJORZ POZNAŃ's Aleksander Kalinowski. In the 92nd minute, Narciso Noe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Igor Lebas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Filipe Meireles made a huge save. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
