A.D. Alcorcón's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jean-Pierre Barda was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 18th minute, Luca Crespo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to A.D. Alcorcón getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Eusebio Quijana hit a great ball. Derek Cooke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maurino Serena having to interfere. Alcorcón's Maurino Serena proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save A.D. Alcorcón from getting a goal against them. Maurino Serena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilson Morais, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eric Donnarumma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manolo Bacete, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. 44 minutes into the game, A.D. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jean-Pierre Barda to make the kick off.
