Fire Devils's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alfredo Stefano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. When Manfredo Quirino fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Castanheiro SC's protests and gave Manfredo Quirino a yellow card for diving instead. After 47 played minutes Castanheiro SC got a freekick which was hit by Manfredo Quirino. In the 48th match minute, Castanheiro SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manfredo Quirino to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

52 minutes into the match, Castanheiro SC's goalkeeper Wincent Dropinski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zlatko Ibrahimović. Zlatko Ibrahimović's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wincent Dropinski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Olof Palm made in the 82nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Castanheiro SC's Rodolfo Sergipano. Odysseus Lindenmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Stefano in the 83rd minute of play. Odysseus Lindenmann came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Castanheiro SC's Alfredo Stefano. But to his dismay, Alfredo Stefano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0.
