Stefan Rasiak was a little too slow when Argoitz Abeijon got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 17th minute. The score was now 1-0. America Futebol Clube SP's attentive Luiz Eduardo Paraibano managed to snatch the ball when Matías Almeida made a throw-in in the 23rd minute of the game. 25 minutes into the match, America Futebol Clube SP's goal looked a bit too open when Argoitz Abeijon came free, but Stefan Rasiak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th minute Jeronimo Rico shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Barovero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 29th minute Arano Abendano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stefan Rasiak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcelo Barovero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arthur Laguna in the 31st minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, America Futebol Clube SP's goal looked a bit too open when Argoitz Abeijon came free, but Stefan Rasiak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 40thth minute of the game Jeronimo Rico who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but River CBBA's Marcelo Barovero was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 41 minutes, Tadeu Xavier mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the America Futebol Clube SP and the River CBBA players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 41st match minute, America Futebol Clube SP was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tadeu Xavier to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Argoitz Abeijon to strike the kick off in the second half. When Arthur Laguna came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the America Futebol Clube SP fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arthur Laguna couldn't finish the play. Marcelo Barovero made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Jeronimo Rico sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Jeronimo Rico managed to get in a good position for a shot. America Futebol Clube SP's supporters rose to their feet, but Jeronimo Rico was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcelo Barovero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. River CBBA's Varis Birgelis was substituted for Hector Enrique. River CBBA's Modesto Ado was substituted for Matías Almeida. America Futebol Clube SP's Jorginho Quirino was substituted for Tadeu Xavier. America Futebol Clube SP were awarded a corner in the 70th minute after River CBBA's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Carlos Capixaba took the corner. Stefan Rasiak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ponciano Abarca in the 81st minute of the match. Argoitz Abeijon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stefan Rasiak having to interfere. If Arthur Laguna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stefan Rasiak came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by River CBBA's Ponciano Abarca. But to his dismay, Ponciano Abarca quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. A collision led to America Futebol Clube SP getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Stefan Rasiak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Argoitz Abeijon, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ponciano Abarca in the 95th minute of play forced America Futebol Clube SP's goalkeeper Stefan Rasiak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
