Thanasis Koltsidas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Nikolay Bonkov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nektarios Tsagarakis, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Garlic Eaters's Nikolay Bonkov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jelte Bleiswijk in the 8th minute of play. Nikolay Bonkov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donzel Goyeneta in the 9th minute of the match. Thanasis Koltsidas came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Garlic Eaters's Gerry Cheeseman. But to his dismay, Gerry Cheeseman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. After having played for 15 minutes, Pavol Stano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Garlic Eaters's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pavol Stano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 16th minute Donzel Goyeneta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nikolay Bonkov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jelte Bleiswijk in the 22nd minute of play forced Garlic Eaters's goalkeeper Nikolay Bonkov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, AEK S.C's Thanasis Koltsidas got control of the ball when Fitz Lambley tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the last second Thanasis Koltsidas throw himself and got hold of the ball when Fitz Lambley in the 28thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 30th minute Jelte Bleiswijk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nikolay Bonkov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nikolay Bonkov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donzel Goyeneta in the 32nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donzel Goyeneta in the 33rd minute of play forced Garlic Eaters's goalkeeper Nikolay Bonkov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 35 minutes in the game, Fitz Lambley fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Thanasis Koltsidas having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.
An unexpectedly hard shot by Pavol Stano in the 53rd minute of play forced AEK S.C's goalkeeper Thanasis Koltsidas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Jelte Bleiswijk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nikolay Bonkov made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Donzel Goyeneta sent off a good shot on target. AEK S.C's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Rodrigo Hats in the 60th minute. Nikolay Bonkov made an important save on a dangerous shot by Donzel Goyeneta in the 63rd minute. AEK S.C's Thanasis Koltsidas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pavol Stano in the 65th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Jelte Bleiswijk put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Nikolay Bonkov. The audience thought a goal was coming when João Francisco de Andrade got free with Nikolay Bonkov in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nikolay Bonkov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jelte Bleiswijk in the 91st minute of the match. After 91 played minutes Garlic Eaters got a freekick which was hit by Justin Collingwood. Nikolay Bonkov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jelte Bleiswijk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 93 minutes into the game, Jasper Attwood was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Garlic Eaters's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AEK S.C the free kick. After a rather tough play, Garlic Eaters's Jasper Attwood got a free kick in the 94th minute. Jelte Bleiswijk struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Nikolay Bonkov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AEK S.C. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodrigo Hats in the 96th minute of play forced Garlic Eaters's goalkeeper Nikolay Bonkov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Garlic Eaters had won after a very even match.
