AEK S.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kind of Blue the free kick. Alfaro Meo kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Jonny Lagerberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thanasis Koltsidas having to interfere. Wilhelm Galle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jelte Bleiswijk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 15 minutes into the game, AEK S.C's Nektarios Tsagarakis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. João Francisco de Andrade's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilhelm Galle read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. A collision led to AEK S.C getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Thanasis Koltsidas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sebastian Käller's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. Kind of Blue's Östen Högman was substituted for Zhuo Ke Le. AEK S.C's Thanasis Koltsidas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Käller in the 87th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Östen Högman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
