In the 38thth minute of the game Lutz Golke who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Valencia C.F.'s Jerry Lodge was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Academica Pulheim's Paul Heyckendorf got control of the ball when Joe Herring tried to sneak it across the goal line.
