Daustad's Jo Øverås played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joe Herring in the 26th minute of play. After 27 minutes Daustad's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Guillermo Farré who took care of the corner kick. Luis Bonet could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Jerry Lodge made a huge save. Joe Herring's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jo Øverås read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Joe Herring notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Daustad's Jo Øverås. Jo Øverås was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luis Bonet might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jerry Lodge. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luis Bonet ran back to his position shaking his head. Jerry Lodge came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Daustad's Luis Bonet. But to his dismay, Luis Bonet quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Jerry Lodge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Bonet, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. He Jing kicked well hit freekick during the 49th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

José Luis Gayà made in the 53rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Daustad's Pelle Anundsson. Jerry Lodge showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Bonet in the 58th minute of the match. Jerry Lodge took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Bonet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jerry Lodge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Bonet, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. If Luis Bonet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valencia C.F.'s Tuncay Candeğer was substituted for Alfred Claydon. Luis Bonet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. José Luis Gayà charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed José Luis Gayà the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
