Paul Heyckendorf showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Bonet in the 3rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Bonet in the 5th minute of play forced Academica Pulheim's goalkeeper Paul Heyckendorf to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jo Øverås made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Mansilha in the 10th minute of play. Simon Beuke hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Daustad's zone, Gary Lineker stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jo Øverås came out of the goal and Gary Lineker tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Luis Bonet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 19 played minutes, Academica Pulheim's Gary Lineker shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jo Øverås came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Academica Pulheim reached it. The supporters of Academica Pulheim booed when Daustad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Bonet didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joachim Kretschmer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jo Øverås read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. In the 27th play minute Joachim Kretschmer came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jo Øverås. 1-0. Through an outstanding action, after 30 minutes, Jo Øverås successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 32nd minute of the match, Lutz Golke got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jo Øverås was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 37th match minute, Academica Pulheim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Mansilha to maneuver through the defense. Alex Mansilha kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Paul Heyckendorf made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kevin Bernini in the 39th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luis Bonet in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paul Heyckendorf prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

Jo Øverås showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joachim Kretschmer in the 51st minute of the match. In the 54th minute Daustad were awarded a corner. Mats Bentsen went to the cornerflag to take it. Dráuzio Lima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paul Heyckendorf having to interfere. Academica Pulheim made a substitution. Maxime Vrints replaced Lutz Golke. Academica Pulheim's Zbigniew Setara was substituted for Kurt Ahrem. Sigurd Storhaug hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Alex Mansilha took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 66th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jo Øverås. Daustad's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 70th minute, Daustad's Kevin Bernini ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Paul Heyckendorf. Paul Heyckendorf yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Academica Pulheim's Paul Heyckendorf proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Academica Pulheim from getting a goal against them. Jo Øverås showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hugó Bøss in the 76th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 85 minutes, the score became 1-4 when Luis Bonet sped through Academica Pulheim's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Paul Heyckendorf. Jo Øverås showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugó Bøss, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Hugó Bøss charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hugó Bøss the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Hugó Bøss hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Daustad eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
